The traverse of Calbuco Volcano takes two days and starts on the southern face of the volcano this is to say from Chapo Lake.
This tour starts at 5:00 am picking you up at your accommodation to continue to our starting point close to Chapo Lake at the southern face of Calbuco volcano. From here we start our hike through majestic alerce tree forests (one of the world’s longest living trees). From the national park’s control point our trek through picturesque landscapes takes us about 5 to 6 hours. We build up our camp close to the summit to watch sunset to our feet from this unique outlook. The next day’s descent follows the ascension route of the one days climb.

What you need to bring:
· Fitness according to the activity
