This tour
leads us to the everlasting ice of Osorno
volcanoes glacier. After a short introduction into walking
techniques and the use of your equipment we begin our first
steps in mountaineering exploring the volcanoes glacier and
it’s crevices always with the ovewhelming outlook over
Llanquihue Lake and it’s thickly forested surroundings
and the volcanoes Tronador, Puntiagudo and Calbuco. This trip
is ideal for all those who are in doubt if they could reach
the summit but would like to experience a climb on a glacier
making their first experience with mountaineering.
Included:
· Transfer from Puerto Varas
· Experienced guide member of the Escuela Nacional
de Montaña (U.I.A.A. member)
· Required climbing equipment
· Security and telecommunication equipment and first-aid-kit
What you need to bring:
· water- and windproof parka and pants and waterproof
trekking boots, inner isolating layer (fleece or wool), hiking
socks, gloves, hat, T-shirt, shorts, 1 backpack (45lt), sun
screen, sun hat and sunglasses (with good UV filter!)
