prices quoted in this brochure are valid to May 2004 and include
services and features indicated in each program or similar.
Not included in quoted tour price:
Costs of obtaining passport (if required); excess baggage charges;
travel insurance; airfares and airport departure and arrival taxes;
meals not listed in the itinerary; sightseeing and activities listed
as optional; personal expenses such as laundry and communication
charges.
Baggage
Tour prices include the handling of one piece of baggage per person.Baggage
and personal effects are at owner’s risk throughout the tour.
Check with your airline for baggage restrictions applicable to flights.
Registration
If no other registration rules apply (see trip information on this
site or just ask us), a deposit
of 20 percent of the tour’s price is required at the time
you book, at which time you will receive your invoice and pre-tour
documentation. The remainder of the price of your trip is due 14
days prior to your departure date. If your reservation is made within
14 days of departure, the entire price of the trip must be paid
at the time of confirmation.
Cancellations received less than 14 days prior to departure will
be subject to a forfeit of cost corresponding to the cost incurred
by Kiñehuen but not more than 50 percent of the tour’s
price. There will be no refunds for missed days on tour.
Claims and refunds
Except for verifiable extenuating circumstances, refunds are not
made for any missed tour services. Please see our Limit of responsibility
on this page. For verifiable claims to be considered, they must
be received in writing within 30 days of the termination of the
tour and be accompanied by supporting documentation and/or a statement
from the Tour Operating Company (if not operated by Kiñehuen)
verifying the claim. Any adjustments will not be made for unused
sightseeing trips or meals. Kiñehuen will not accept any
liability for any claims that are not received within 30 days of
the termination of your tour.
Acts of God and Weather Conditions
All routes are subject to change without notice, depending on acts
of god and weather conditions. Kiñehuen tour guides reserve
the right to provide travellers with an alternative activity in
the programme if conditions are not appropriate.
Photography on tour
Kiñehuen reserves the right to take photographs, films or
videotapes during the operation of any tour or part thereof, and
to use the resulting photographs, film or videotape for promotional
purposes. By booking a reservation with Kiñehuen, tour members
agree to allow their image to appear in such media. Tour members
who prefer that their image and/or voice are not used are asked
to notify this at the commencement of their tour.
Agreements
Quoted tour prices include planning, handling and operational charges,
and are based on the current tariffs as of July 2003. In the event
of a market increase or tariff rates, costs are subject to revision.
Limits on Responsibility and Insurance
Kiñehuen is a legal entity duly existing and incorporated
in Chile. It purchases transportation, accommodation, services of
professional guides, camp staff and other services from various
independent suppliers, that are not subject to its control. In addition,
the programmes include outdoor physical activity and contact with
nature, involving some level of risk, depending on several events
and circumstances over which Kiñehuen has no control. Kiñehuen
cannot therefore, be liable for death, personal injury or any other
loss that may occur (a) due to any act or omission of any such supplier,
or (b) by reason of any other event over which it has no control.
Confirmation or payment of the tour constitutes your acceptance
of the above exclusion of liability provision.
Nevertheless, you can always access the benefits of the “adventure
tourism” passenger insurance policy which are included in
the programmes we offer. Information about the insurance policy
coverage and conditions will be submitted to all our travellers
when confirming the tour. The relevant insurance programme is contracted
with Seguros Interamericana. Kiñehuen reserves the right
to adjust U.S. dollar prices without notice, to reflect fluctuations
in the Foreign Exchange Markets.
Kiñehuen also reserves the right to withdraw a tour or any
part of it, to make such alterations in the itinerary as it seems
necessary or desirable, to refuse to accept or retain as member
of the tour any person at any time, and to pass on to tour members
any expenditures or losses caused by delays or events beyond its
control.
Confirmation or payment of the tour cost constitutes your acceptance
to the Terms and Conditions set out herein and in more specific
pre-tour passenger documentation, including the Reservation Confirmation
Form.
Air Transportation
We will arrange the best-priced airfare available in the class category
you request at the time of your booking. Should you cancel or change
your air reservation before or after your departure, cancellation
penalties will apply.
Airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission
or event during the time passengers are not on board their planes
or conveyances. The passage contract in use by these companies when
issued shall constitute the sole contract between the companies
and the purchaser of these tours and/or passage. |
