The transfer to our starting point leads us along the beautiful village Ensenada (about 50 km from Puerto Varas) sitting on the foothill of Osorno Volcano. The trekking offers a wonderful outlook over the thickly forested surroundings with Llanquihue Lake and the volcanoes Tronador, Puntiagudo, Calbuco and Yates in the background. The pace and the trail depend on your wishes and physical possibilities to be specified in the reservation form and checked during the trek. On our way we can see lateral craters of the volcano. The volcanic underground just allows a marginal vegetation to grow slowly creating thus spots of a local habitat alternating with the areas usual vegetation. The trek is recommended to start early in the morning or late in the afternoon to observe overwhelming sunrises or sunsets over Llanquihue Lake.
